Dear Friends,

I am feeling very glad to share with all of you that after the grand success of the Society of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (SPER) 2 nd annual conference held at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi on 9 March 2013, the SPER is now going to organize its 3 rd annual conference under the theme "Recent trends in pharma industry: Bridging the gaps in pharmaceutical education" at Lovely Professional University (LPU), Phagwara, Punjab on 8 March 2014.

The conference will be coordinated with the goal of bringing together research and development at the laboratory level and scaling it up to an industrial level. This 1-day conference will cover the crucial and considerable matters concerning innovative technologies used in drug delivery and diagnostics, budding from the area of pharmaceutical sciences, for the improvement of healthcare sector.

The conference will be organized in collaboration with Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab, India and IFTM University, Moradabad, India as the knowledge partners and Journal of Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology and Research (JAPTR) (SPER's official publication) and SPER Times (official news magazine) as the media partners. It is supported by Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) (Education Division), Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association (IPGA), Indian Hospital Pharmacists' Association (IHPA), and Society of Pharmacognosy and sponsored by various reputed industries/organizations.

On the next day, i.e. 9 March 2014, an industrial tour for the students will be organized by SPER.

SPER-Women's Forum (SPER-WF) is an international forum for women across the field of pharmacy under the aegis of SPER.

The SPER-WF advances research across careers, cultures, and continents by connecting the world's most preeminent women of significant and diverse achievements. The SPER-WF brings together an unprecedented global membership to exchange ideas, to learn and inspire, and to promote better research and development for a changing world.

The SPER-WF annual award is a unique initiative to encourage women to explore and fulfill their potential by pursuing research in education and to enhance their capacities to provide productive and supportive service to the field of pharmacy.

During the conference, Mrs. Sudha Nagaich Memorial Award, SPER Fellowship Award, Eminent Teacher, Principal of the Year, Young Scientist, Innovative Researcher, Young Teacher, Young Talent, Best Student (for UG, PG, and PhD Scholar), and Best Poster awards (for each specialization), along with SPER-WF Eminent Teacher, Young Scientist, Innovative Researcher, Young Teacher, and Best Student awards will be given.

Nominations are invited for Mrs. Sudha Nagaich Memorial Award, SPER Fellowship Award, Eminent Teacher, Principal of the Year, Young Scientist, Innovative Researcher, Young Teacher, Young Talent, Best Student (for UG, PG, and PhD Scholar) awards and SPER-WF Eminent Teacher, Young Scientist, Innovative Researcher, Young Teacher, and Best Student awards.
